The LCI Team Approach
LandCare Innovations has always sought to employ a team approach. LandCare has a strong group of leaders who demonstrate generosity in teaching and training other members of our team across a variety of disciplines. This approach or “cross training” allows for individuals to be optimized in more than one area of expertise. Our employees benefit by gaining a wider breadth of skills and a higher level of development within a given skill set. A cross-trained team member is in a better position to create innovative solutions as issues arise, to troubleshoot accurately while onsite, and to shift responsibilities, pitching in whenever and however they are needed. When members of the team are highly skilled in multiple areas, the client benefits exponentially.
Team Approach Benefits All
LandCare Innovations has always considered the team approach to be the most beneficial way to execute a project. We believe two workers can complete ten projects faster and with more artistry working together than one worker can finish five projects alone. To quote LCI’s owner, Chip Eleazer, “There’s something about a collaborative effort, folks working together towards a common goal, which creates something more than individuals working alone can achieve.”
This is why the sum of all the working professionals here at LCI add up to something far more than simply our numbers alone express. Everyone learns from each other, helps one another, and in this way the knowledge base and work output of all increases. Chip believes, as do we all, that teamwork “enhances our capabilities and leads to being better equipped to satisfy our customers.”
A Brief History
Chip Eleazer, President & CEO of LandCare Innovations, began his professional career in a different arena, outside of landscaping altogether. In his spare time, he learned how to install and repair irrigation systems. Thinking it would be a hobby, or side business at the very least, he soon discovered the work suited him well, and he eventually formed his own landscaping and irrigation company over 20 years ago. “People thought I was crazy” says Chip. “But I found I was more passionate about landscaping than any other kind of work.”
That passion fueled the development of his company, allowing LCI to diversify services. Today he leads a turnkey, full-service landscaping company that provides expertise across a wide range of landscaping disciplines. Within the industry, Chip is known for his professionalism and industry knowledge, especially in the area of irrigation. A Certified Irrigation Designer (CID), Chip is past-president of the Carolinas Irrigation Association, underlining his commitment to professional service, expertise and ethical standards of conduct.
Chip says he and his employees continue to live the same attitude and outlook that has always brought success:
“Come to work and give it your all, learn from and contribute to the team, and treat customers with respect. There’s no gimmicks, no neon lights, just hard working landscape professionals who are passionate about what we do. Sure, we want your business today, but we’re interested in a long-term relationship too. So we’re going to do the job right and to your complete satisfaction.”
Team Innovations
In an industry that is always facing new obstacles, be it the current economic climate or the every-changing natural environment we work in, LandCare Innovations does not rely solely on our vast pool of knowledge and established best practices to complete a job. We here at LandCare also strive to seek out new and cutting-edge solutions that make our work stand out in the changing world around us.
Continuing education is paramount here at LCI. We are constantly in touch with industry trends, attending conferences and seminars – reinforcing our knowledge of tried-and-true methods, but also pushing the envelope on new innovations that keep us one step ahead. Our customers can be assured that we will always provide creative solutions that satisfy!
